Travelling with children

Family tours in Morocco

Camels, monkeys, waterfalls and a night in the desert: private family trips with a pace, drives and activities adapted to children.

Trips that work well with children

Children love Morocco: riding a camel, meeting the monkeys of Ouzoud, kneading bread in a Berber kitchen, sleeping in a tent in the dunes. The key is a pace that suits the whole family.

Travelling privately makes that easy. Your driver-guide stops whenever needed, the days are shorter, and every activity is chosen with your children's ages in mind.

    Keeping drives manageable

Distances in Morocco can be long. With children, we split the journey to the Sahara over more days (our 5-day tour rather than the 3-day one), plan regular breaks and choose accommodation with a pool when we can.

  3. 03

    Family-friendly accommodation

We select riads and hotels with family rooms or connecting rooms, and desert camps where children are welcome. Tell us the ages of your children and we will choose accordingly.

Questions travellers ask

From what age can children come on a desert tour?

Children of all ages travel with us. For long desert tours, we recommend the 5-day option for younger children, as the driving days are shorter.

Can children ride camels?

Yes, accompanied by the guide who leads the camel on foot. Young children usually ride with a parent.

Is Morocco safe for families?

Morocco is a welcoming country for families, and children are made to feel very welcome. With a private driver-guide, you always have someone local at your side.
