Overview
At 4,068 metres, Mount M'Goun is the second-highest peak in Morocco, and a more remote, less crowded alternative to Toubkal. The trek starts from the Ait Bouguemez valley, known as the “Happy Valley” for its green terraces and welcoming villages.
Over six days you cross high plateaus, reach the summit for views over the Atlas and towards the Sahara, camp by rivers and walk through the dramatic Ait Imi gorge.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need trekking experience?
No technical climbing is involved, but you need good fitness and to be comfortable walking 5 to 7 hours a day on mountain trails. The guide adapts the pace to your group.
M’Goun or Toubkal?
Toubkal is higher and can be climbed in 2 to 4 days. M’Goun is more remote, quieter and makes for a longer, more varied trek through valleys and gorges.
